Hi, I’m Shorty.
Melissa “Shorty” Campbell. Coach. Health professional. Advocate for doing the work.
I’ve spent most of my adult life working in environments where resilience, discipline, and performance under pressure weren’t optional - they were essential.
After 20 years as an Army medic, I understand firsthand what it means to push through challenges, adapt to change, and show up when it matters most. But I also know what happens when we don’t take care of ourselves along the way.
That experience - combined with my qualifications as a Health and Wellness Coach, Positive Intelligence® Mental Fitness Coach, and Personal Trainer - shapes the way I work with every client.
I believe meaningful change is possible for anyone who’s willing to take that first step. Not because I’ll tell you what to do, but because together we’ll uncover what’s holding you back, build the habits and mindset that support you, and take the kind of consistent action that creates lasting results.
My coaching focuses on the whole person - mind and body. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your mental fitness, improve your health and energy, or simply reconnect with the person you know you can be, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
My Coaching Philosophy
I believe everyone has the capacity to create meaningful change. Sometimes they simply need the right support, perspective, and accountability to unlock it.
Coaching isn’t about having all the answers or telling you how to live your life. It’s about creating a space where you can think more clearly, uncover what’s holding you back, and take purposeful action toward the future you want.
My approach is honest, supportive, and practical. I’ll ask questions that encourage you to see things differently, challenge you when I know you’re capable of more, and support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll focus on building confidence, resilience, and sustainable change that lasts long after our coaching has finished.
Working with Florentis Health
In addition to my own coaching practice, I work alongside Dr. Sarah Stephens, founder of Florentis Health, supporting clients to implement personalised health and brain health strategies through sustainable lifestyle and behaviour change. If you’re a Florentis Health client, I can work in complement with your existing care. For more on Sarah, head here.
A little more about me…
When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me spending time with family, staying active, and doing what I love most - being involved in cricket, whether that’s playing, supporting, or being part of the community around the game. I’m passionate about people, and that extends well beyond the coaching room.
Coaching

Most of us were never taught how to train our minds. We manage stress, push through self-doubt, and keep going - but the underlying patterns stay the same. Through the Positive Intelligence® (PQ®) program, I help you identify the mental habits that hold you back and build the ones that move you forward. Over seven weeks, you'll develop greater calm, clarity, and confidence - not through willpower, but through daily practice that rewires how your brain responds to life's challenges. The result? Less noise, more you.

Knowing what's good for you and actually doing it are two very different things - and that's exactly where I come in. Through personalised 1:1 coaching, I help you build healthy habits that genuinely fit your life, improve your energy, manage stress, and reconnect with the person you know you can be. There's no rigid plan, no quick fix, and no one-size-fits-all approach. Just practical, compassionate support to help you make small, consistent changes that create real, lasting results. Your health is worth investing in - and you don't have to figure it out alone.
